Access to Nasu

Please be aware that the meet point may occasionally change. However, the following information should serve as a helpful guide for your preparation.

Tours starting from Nasu

Please arrive at Nasushiobara Station. For some tours, you may need to proceed further to the hotel or tour desk.

How to Take the Tohoku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station

1. Arriving at Tokyo Station

Tokyo Station is a large and busy railway hub. If you arrive by JR train, subway, or taxi, follow the signs for the Shinkansen (bullet train) transfer.

2. Finding the Shinkansen Gates

Look for signs marked “Shinkansen Tracks” or “Shinkansen Transfer”.
The Tohoku Shinkansen departs from the Yaesu side of Tokyo Station.
If you already have a ticket, go directly to the Shinkansen gates.
If you need a ticket, purchase one at a Shinkansen Ticket Counter (Midori no Madoguchi)or use the ticket machines (English available).

3. Going Through the Ticket Gates

Insert your ticket into the machine or tap your IC card (if applicable) at the Shinkansen entrance. Take your ticket back after passing through.

4. Finding Your Train and Platform

Check the electronic departure boards for your train number, departure time, and platform. The Tohoku Shinkansen usually departs from platforms 20 to 23.
Please take the Tohoku shinkansen Nasuno train or Yamabiko train to stop at Nasushiobara.
Note: Every Nasuno train stops at Nasushiobara, but a certain Yamabiko train does not stop at Nasushiobara.
Please make sure to catch a train which stops at Nasushiobara.

5. Boarding the Train

Arrive at the platform at least 10 minutes before departure.
Trains have reserved and non-reserved seats. If you have a reserved seat, find your car number and wait in line at the corresponding door.

Travel Time: Approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Fare: Approximately: ¥5,500. – (Additional fees apply for reserved or Green Car seats.)
