Traditions in Motion: Satoyama & Craft Bike Tour Now Underway

Another bike tour featuring Japanese traditional crafts, Satoayama & Craft Bike Tour Nasu – Nikko – Mashiko, is now rolling!
Pedal through the timeless beauty of Satoyama, Japan’s traditional rural landscapes where mountains meet farmland and nature and people live in harmony. On this immersive journey, you’ll meet six master artisans of Japanese traditional crafts and experience the refined world of Wabi-Sabi craftsmanship, deeply rooted in the rhythms of rural life.
Today, the Stage 1 highlights:
We cycled alongside shimmering rice paddies, enjoyed a farm-to-table full-course lunch at a charming local farmer’s home, and visited a young bamboo craft artist—witnessing the magic of transforming native bamboo grass into elegant, handcrafted baskets.
Stay tuned for more moments where tradition meets the open road.
